Additional Government Programs and Resources
In addition to RMCU’s member support options, several government programs are available to assist members who are struggling financially:Federal Employee Education & Assistance Fund (FEEA) Shutdown Grants.
FEEA is offering $150 micro-grants to furloughed or excepted federal employees to cover essentials like groceries, gas, diapers, and other necessities.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP):
Helps individuals and families purchase nutritious food.
Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP):
Provides help with home heating and energy bills.
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF): Supports families with financial assistance and job-related services.
Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services: Offers programs for food, housing, and emergency cash assistance.
